Biography of the Detroit Jazz Factory Forged in a city that is known for both its industrial might and its jazz heritage, the Detroit Jazz Factory sought to take advantage of those well-known factors by creating a contemporary jazzy 19-piece big band that was capable of manufacturing great jazz music with a spectacular sound. As a result, the band is now known to produce a product that has its audiences bobbing their heads to the grove and tapping their feet to the beat whenever they put on a show.
