About this event
One of 153 upcoming events at CNY Arts, and 235 across Syracuse.
One of Central NY's most gifted vocalists, Maureen Sheridan Henesey covers all the bases from rock'n'roll to bluegrass, country blues to urban soul. Over the past 20 years she has fronted the Easy Ramblers, the Mere Mortals and the CNY Songbirds. "The power and importance of music for Maureen is palpable when she is onstage," wrote The Post-Standard reporter Emily Kulkus. "That combined with her toothpaste commercial smile is what makes her one of the most beloved lead singers in town." Guitarist Adam Fisher is incredibly versatile. He plays jazz and world music with Edgar Pagan. He plays funk and fusion with his jam band, Count Blastula, and, of course, he can also play the blues. Last year, Fisher and Maureen Henesey teamed up in a new quintet named Pocket Nod. This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
