Tension & Tenderness

Community Exhibit featuring Elva Bennett and Caitlin McIver, residents of Seward Park Clay Studio. Tension & Tenderness brings together works that explore the delicate relationship between vulnerability, connection, and care. Through sculpture and interdisciplinary practices, the artists examine the ways we navigate intimacy, trust, and transformation while balancing protection and openness. Moving between hard and soft materials and playful gestures, the work creates moments that feel both whimsical and profoundly human. Rich with tenderness and emotional resonance, Tension & Tenderness offers a space to slow down, connect, and recognize ourselves in one another. This exhibit is presented in partnership with Seward Park Clay Studio and celebrates the culmination of the artists’ residencies.
