Skamokawa Swamp Opera

Join us Saturday, August 29th at 4pm at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum for a night with the Skamokawa Swamp Opera, an eclectic folk band from Wahkiakum County, Washington! All four members are vocalists and multi-instrumentalists, using varied combinations of cello, guitar, banjo, harmonica, mandocello, percussion, mandolin, and melodica. Skamokawa Swamp Opera draws from a wide variety of musical genres ranging from pop to country to opera. They have performed for many regional festivals, including the FisherPoets gathering, the Vancouver Music & Arts Festival and Pickathon. For their Ilwaco performance, they will be playing songs by and about the people of the lower Columbia River. This fundraiser will benefit the museum and its devotion to preserving the past and exhibiting local history. Tickets for members of the museum will be $20, and non-member tickets will be $25.
