About this event

On Daisy

One of 4 upcoming events at Community Artists' Collective, and 705 across Houston.

From Community Artists' Collective

In this hands-on workshop geared toward older adults, participants learn new ways to upcycle old denim jeans into useful garments and accessories, such as purses and shop aprons. The workshop is led by Hastle D. Murray, a Glassell artist-in-residence and member of the Jubilee Quilt Circle. Although it is not required, attendees are welcome to bring and work with their own old denim. This workshop is part of the Vitality Arts series presented by the Glassell School of Art, in partnership with the Community Artists' Collective and its Jubilee Quilt Circle. This program receives generous support from E.A. Michelson Philanthropy. No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided at no cost. Lunch and refreshments are included.
