Water Garden Wonders

Discover one of nature’s most extraordinary plants during this daily Water Garden Talk at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. Meet the stunning Victoria Water Lilies—also known as “Water Platters”—floating in the gardens surrounding the Visitor Center. As the only public garden in Minnesota to grow and display these South American giants, Como offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Joining our Victoria Water Lillies for the fall are our collection of tropical bog plants. These unique plants float in our water gardens in miniature bog habitats. They include some examples of carnivorous plants. These floating bogs will be viewable as we head into the autumn months, adding a little seasonal flair to our water gardens.
