Intro to Metal Clay Hollow Forms with Donna Penoyer

Learn how to construct a hollow form pendant from metal clay! All-Day Workshop Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026 Time: 10am-5pm Description: Make a three-sided hollow pendant in silver metal clay! In the process, learn a versatile technique for constructing hollow pieces with multiple sides. For this introductory form, the front panel has volume, the back and top are flat, and the bail is a fun spiral. Students will complete one pendant up to the firing stage, and pieces will be fired later by the instructor. For those who work quickly, an in-class kiln firing will be offered. Tuition: $105 + $65 materials fee Materials: All materials will be provided We really want you to join us in the studio! Full and partial tuition scholarships are available to offset some of the financial burden of attending a class. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops. Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. About the Artist Donna Penoyer is a master metal clay instructor who has been working in the medium since 2005. She has taught workshops throughout the U.S., England, and Belgium and has created a number of video tutorials available through craftcast.com. Although she developed a spirited, over-the-top, 21-year career as a professional stiltwalker, these days Donna is pretty down-to-earth. She is a welcoming teacher who believes there is a gleeful maker in everyone.
