Always wanted to try crochet? Never picked up a crochet hook before? Start from the very beginning in this beginner workshop! Introduction to Crochet: Beginner Basics with Sarah LaVoie Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026 Time: 10am-1pm Description: Learn crochet from the very start! If you have never picked up a crochet hook before, or if it has been a while, this class is for you! Rayna will guide you through the process of holding a crochet hook and yarn in your hands, and then she will lead you through some basic building block moves including: slip knot, chain, single crochet and double crochet. You will leave class with a crochet hook, a ball of yarn, and inspiration to continue practicing. You will also receive resources on good next steps and beginner projects to help guide you build on your new skills! Tuition: $65 + $15 materials fee Materials: All materials will be provided, along with crochet hooks to take home and continue practicing! Note, this workshop will take place in the Fleischner Family Fibers Loft, which is on the second floor of the building. There are 2 entrances to the Timmons Studios. • One entrance is facing Butler Street. To access the Fibers Loft from the Butler Street facing entrance, there are a total of 32 stairs to ascend. • One entrance is facing 57th Street. This entrance is accessible by ramp, with no stairs to ascend. There is a lift inside the building to access the second floor. We strive to create a welcoming experience. Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date.
