Join us as we learn about jewelry-making, creativity, and self-expression through metalwork! 3-Hour Workshop Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026 Time: 2pm-5pm Description: In this hands-on workshop, participants will experience the metamorphic process of metalsmithing by learning introductory metalwork skills in a supportive and creative environment. No prior experience is necessary – this class is perfect for beginners or anyone curious about jewelry-making, creativity, and self-expression through metalwork. The process of heating, hammering, and refining metal mirrors the resilience and transformation inherent in the healing journey. As participants stress and shape the metal, they symbolically process emotions, release tensions, and affirm their strength. Wearing the finished cuff serves as a tangible reminder of their adaptability and strength. Led by an instructor with 12 years of metalsmithing experience with a master’s degree in art therapy, this workshop also invites participants to experience the grounding, reflective, and empowering qualities of working with metal. The process of shaping and transforming a raw material into something personal and meaningful can be a powerful act of self-expression and care.
