The CAM Biennial is Coos Art Museum’s recurring exhibition dedicated to emerging artists working across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Held every two years, the Biennial provides a platform for early-career artists to present new work, gain professional visibility, and connect with a broader regional audience. The 2026 CAM Biennial will be presented under the theme Facing Forward, inviting artists to explore portraiture as a lens for identity, community, and the future. Through this theme, the Biennial offers a timely snapshot of rising voices in the region. Artists working in all media are encouraged to consider how portraiture, broadly interpreted, can reflect lived experience, representation, and what it means to look ahead.
🎨 Serving as a cultural resource for Oregon’s South Coast through exhibitions and programs since 1966. Open Wednesday-Sunday from 11-5pm.
