Take an evening hike beneath August's full moon, known as the Sturgeon Moon. Named for the time of year when sturgeon were most easily caught in the Great Lakes, this moon is also sometimes called the Red Moon because of the reddish hue it can take on through the hazy summer atmosphere. As we explore Cope's trails after sunset, we'll enjoy the sights and sounds of nature at night while learning about the history and folklore behind this unique full moon.
