Why the Drama? Live!

Actors, writers and filmmakers gather for a live cold-read session designed to develop new work and connect South Florida creatives with industry professionals. Presented Wednesday, October 21 at FilmGate Miami’s El Oro Theater inside the Downtown Media Center, Why the Drama? Live! combines screenplay readings, performance feedback and networking. The program features actors reading selected scripts before an audience that may include casting professionals, filmmakers and other media-industry guests. The format gives writers a chance to hear their work performed aloud while actors can explore new material in a collaborative setting. Featured screenplays and participating writers will be announced closer to the event.
