Dreaming In the Chrysalis Workshop

An interactive program of story, poetry, ideas, play, and transformation. The caterpillar enters the chrysalis and dissolves, its former self forever gone. And then…the butterfly is born. Change is not only possible, it is immanent. Explore the process through a myth of radical transformation and through the story of yourself. Story changes us. Ready? Oral storyteller and award-winning playwright, Gail Nyoka, leads you through the story of Sedna, the woman who transforms into the Goddess of the Sea. Participate in techniques developed by Augusto Boal and his Theatre of the Oppressed. No acting experience required or expected.
