October 2026 Artist of the Month: Jasmin Iskandar de Caro Exhibit Title: Fluir Fluir, Spanish meaning “to flow”, presents a series of abstract paintings composed of fluid, organic forms that surge and dissolve. Shapes stretch, merge, and disperse, suggesting an atmospheric space in constant flux. Jasmin Iskandar de Caro’s visual language operates as an allegory for shifting states of consciousness. Just as the forms resist fixation, perception itself is destabilized—moving through clarity, distortion, expansion, and collapse. The paintings evoke the sensation of thought and feeling blending together, highlighting the fluidity between different states of mind. Abstraction acts as a way to extend the moment between seeing and recognition. In this space of perception, Iskandar de Caro invites the viewer to further pause their thinking-mind, which seeks to label and understand.
