Salons during the Harlem Renaissance were vital, intimate gatherings hosted in private homes and social spaces. They provided sanctuary for Black intellectuals, artists, and LGBTQ+ figures to share their work, debate politics, and shape the "New Negro" movement. These safe havens were crucial in launching the careers of iconic figures like Zora Neale Hurston, Countee Cullen, Alain Locke, and Jean Toomer.
