Artist Talk with Barbara Penn and George Edward Walker Thursday, August 27, 2026 6–8 p.m. Crosstown Arts Join exhibiting artists Barbara Penn and George Edward Walker for a conversation about their current exhibitions at Crosstown Arts. In Big Life, Long Life, Penn uses painting, drawing, text, and collage to explore the space between the personal and the political. Walker’s A Snippet of God’s Unsung Children’s Journey reflects on dignity, survival, and the enduring strength of people who persevered through dehumanizing and brutal treatment. The artists will discuss the ideas, experiences, and creative processes behind their work. Their exhibitions, presented alongside Romain Collin and Matthew Palmer’s Chromesthesia: A Piano Triptych, remain on view through September 6.
