LEVEL 3: Character and Environment (SUN)

Level 3 Improv Class: Skill Focus – Character and Environment In this class you will explore the improvisational storytelling principles of Characterization and Environment. Develop fully-realized characters through physicality, observation, and play. Learn how to draw inspiration, heighten your choices through mirroring and contrast, and inhabit your characters with foundational acting techniques and performance skills. You’ll also learn the basics of object and space work. Explore how characters can emerge through the objects they interact with, the spaces they inhabit, and the way they respond to the people around them. Come ready to get physical, observe closely, make bold choices, and discover characters through the world you create onstage.
