TICKETS You’ve seen the Odyssey. But what about the teenage girl who started it all? Before the Trojan horse, before the burning of an empire, before a clever man sailed for ten years to find home, the fate of ancient Greece burned in the body of a teenage girl: Iphigenia. Join us for a ONE WEEKEND ONLY workshop production of the new play “If, Then: Iphigenia.” “If, Then” tells the little-known story of Iphigenia, who was sacrificed by her father, Agamemnon, in order to begin the Trojan War. While stylistically mimicking Greek tragedy, “If, Then” brings a contemporary narration to this ancient story which is as accessible and irreverent as it is heartbreaking. “If, Then: Iphigenia” is a timely case study on gender, bodily autonomy, and state violence through a lens of antiquity.
