The Over Unders The Over Unders are an Eau Claire/Minneapolis Alt Rock four-piece comprised of brothers Sam (Guitar and Vocals) and Matthew (Drums) Hellman, bassist Jake Morley, and lead guitarist Ben Schwaller. Their fresh and enthusiastic take on classic rock n’ roll is often likened to their major influences who fall all along the diverse spectrum of power pop and classic alternative. Principal songwriter Sam Hellman’s favorites come through most, giving the majority of their tunes a “Big Star meets Replacements, by way of Gin Blossoms” vibe. Think Old 97’s and Ted Leo too, as these are common names mentioned when describing the Over Unders’ simple but complete sound.
