Kids can engage in activities that spark their curiosity for nature and encourage exploration. Families can dig, splash, climb, play, create, build and more! Join us on the weekends for fun hands-on activities and crafts too. Cactus Clubhouse is currently located in the Weisz Learning Center, and hours may be subject to change. Please check in with admissions upon arrival for any operational updates. Cactus Clubhouse is made possible by grants from the USDA Forest Service and the Pharos Foundation in collaboration with Dimensions Educational Research Foundation. During Pay What You Can Days from October through May, Cactus Clubhouse will be open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Cactus Clubhouse is a Certified Nature Explore Classroom. For more information, click here. What is Cactus Clubhouse? Cactus Clubhouse features an indoor classroom with play stations, science learning and activities, as well as outdoor play. Staff and volunteers are available to help and to host activities. Children may get dirty, wet or muddy while playing. What can I expect? When you arrive at the Clubhouse, a volunteer or staff member will greet you and will be available for any questions or assistance. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and shoes must stay on. The outdoor play areas are shaded and the indoor classroom is air conditioned. There are restrooms and drinking fountains right outside of Cactus Clubhouse. What should we bring? We recommend bringing a change of clothes and shoes, sunscreen, water, hats and sunglasses. Strollers are allowed inside the Clubhouse and can be stored in the stroller parking zone. Food and snacks are also allowed in the Clubhouse. Cactus Clubhouse Accessibility Cactus Clubhouse is wheelchair accessible with multi-level garden beds, water tables, sand tables, and picnic tables. Some sections of the Clubhouse include uneven dirt and steps. Visit the Clubhouse sensory station to check out sensory aids like headphones, fidget items and sunglasses. For other accommodations, nursing area requests and more, please ask a Cactus Clubhouse staff member for help. Questions about Cactus Clubhouse?
