SCFD Free Day: Commemorate Colorado’s Sesquicentennial Dino Ridge Style!

2026 is Colorado’s 150th anniversary, also known as its sesquicentennial! You’re invited to explore a part of the state famous for its natural history just 20 minutes west of Denver. Today enjoy FREE ENTRY to both the main visitor center Exhibit Hall, the Deep Time Detour Exhibition at the Martin G. Lockley Discovery Center, and $5 off guided bus tours. For this occasion, the Main Visitor Center will also be the site of an outdoor Paleo ArtFest in the parking lot! Local artists will display their works and visitors can buy art to support those artists. Have a fun and educational outdoor/indoor experience that is great for all ages and see the place where Colorado’s state fossil, the Stegosaurus, was uncovered 150 years ago!
