KRCC LIVE at 75: The Sound of Southern Colorado

KRCC will celebrate 75 years of public media in Southern Colorado on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Kathryn Mohrman Theatre at Colorado College. KRCC listeners, members and community partners are invited to the event to honor the station’s legacy in Southern Colorado. Through an evening of music, storytelling, poetry, archival audio and reflections on the station’s history, the program will trace KRCC’s evolution and celebrate its vital connection to the region. Michel Martin, host of NPR’s Morning Edition, will headline the evening with a conversation about the enduring role public media plays in connecting communities and deepening our understanding of the world. Known for her insight, empathy and thoughtful reporting on some of the most consequential stories of our time, Martin will draw on her distinguished 46-year career in journalism to reflect on KRCC’s milestone and the past, present and future of public media.
