About our Featured Poet: Timothy Huff, who is a Binghamton native and custom window designer by day, discovered his love for poetry during the early times of the COVID-19 pandemic last spring. Sitting on his back deck of his St. Petersburg home in Florida, Huff would daze at the beauty of nature, looking at the bright colors of spring, and soaking in the fresh scents of freshly planted flowers. After he was invited to join a Facebook group for Haiku poetry to share with his online friends, he knew he didn’t have to look far for his inspirations. His love for nature and poetry resulted in his first published book, The View from My Deck: Haiku Inspired by Nature.
