Join educators, historians, and site-based experts at the East Tennessee Historical Society and Blount Mansion to explore George Washington’s world through compelling narratives and hands-on analysis of primary sources. Deepen your understanding of Washington’s leadership and legacy, connect national history to Tennessee’s local story, and engage with inclusive perspectives that reflect the diversity of the 18th century, all while developing practical, inquiry-based strategies to bring these stories to life in the classroom. Teachers MUST teach in a formal K-12 classroom or school setting. This workshop is Free and includes lunch and a $100 substitute teacher stipend paid directly to your school (or district) Registration will open in August.
