Introducing a 10-year-old orphaned girl, (1684–1772) before engaging docent expertise to reimagine how she and 216 volunteer re-settlers, trekking north for 9 dust-choked months, would have experienced this 2nd-to-last paraje between Mexico City and Santa Fe.  Retired bilingual university professor, successive editor of three historical journals including Chronicles of El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, exhibitions curator across central California and currently at the Bond House Museum in Española as a member of the San Gabriel Historical Society, specializing in the art and history of the Spanish-inflected Southwest including the two Californias.  Purchase tickets here
