Live music at the Winery: CloudRail

CloudRail is a Seattle-based jazz duo made up of guitarist Preston Murphy and vocalist Theresa Redmond. The music power duo combines Murphy’s extensive background in the Vermont and Seattle jazz scenes with Redmond’s versatile and clear-cutting vocals. Both musicians play in a variety of different-styled groups, anywhere from Redmond’s indie-pop band and choral groups to Murphy’s jazz combo and big band performances. They bring their differing skill sets together for CloudRail, sometimes dipping into Jazz-adjacent genres like blues and folk. Murphy and Redmond met in their Master’s of Music program at the Seattle Film Institute in 2021 and started performing together in 2022, fusing their extensive musical backgrounds to form a new combined sound.
