A Very Special Pub Hang! Award-winning banjo player Benny Bleu is celebrating the release of his latest project – When I Am a Fossil. Ten years in the making and informed by the artist’s prior decade working as a geologist, the album reflects a sustained exploration of humanity’s relationship with the earth, expressed through original songs, carefully chosen covers, and meditative banjo instrumentals. Joining him will be a band consisting of guitarist/fiddler Gus Tritsch who tours with Jake Blount; his brother Huck Tritsch, who is both a Clifftop-winning fiddler and a jazz-studies drumming major at Temple University will play drumset; and Eric Heveron-Smith on bass, a multi-instrumentalist and naturalist in his own right. The album was recorded right up the street at 145 in Millheim and is released on CD and vinyl. Join us for this special edition Pub Hang!
