“Still, We Are Sacred” by Emanuel Xavier — Special Latinx Heritage Month reading

We’re thrilled to welcome Bushwick-born poet and longtime Staten Island resident Emanuel Xavier to the Book Cafe for a special Latinx Heritage Month reading from his poetry collection,Still, We Are Sacred. Xavier is also the author of several previous poetry collections, including Pier Queen, Americano, and Love(ly) Child, and has been part of New York City’s spoken word and LGBTQ+ literary communities for decades. Join us for an afternoon of poetry, conversation, and community, featuring special guest poet Douglas G. Cala. Emanuel's books will be for sale.
