Don’t hang up your trowel just because summer is winding down! Join master gardener and Arboretum docent John Marsh for this free, information-packed class, Putting Your Garden to Bed. Learn smart late-season strategies that will keep your garden looking great through winter while setting the stage for a healthier, more beautiful spring garden. John will share practical, easy-to-follow tips for fall cleanup, protecting plants, improving soil, planning ahead, and tackling those important autumn garden chores before the cold weather arrives. Expect plenty of useful take-home ideas, real-world advice, and inspiration for gardeners of every experience level. A longtime passionate gardener, John is a Snohomish County Master Gardener Program volunteer and active member of numerous gardening groups. He enjoys lively, practical talks filled with helpful information — and has designed this class with exactly that in mind. October is not the time to slow down in the garden! The work you do now can make all the difference in how your garden survives winter and thrives next year.
