We will be hosting a screening and discussion of Retracing Footsteps: Hannah Dustin and the Abenaki at the Exeter Public Library on Wednesday, November 18th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Special guest Denise Pouliot, head female speaker for the Cowasuck Band of Pennacook/Abenaki People will join us as we explore reframing the Hannah Dustin story to reflect a more just perspective from a time of great conflict. The film was written by Catherine Stewart in collaboration with Barbara Cutter, Anne Jennison, Mary Ellen Lepionka, Denise Ortakales, Denise Pouliot, and Paul Pouliot, and was produced in partnership with the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki People and the Indigenous New Hampshire Collaborative Collective. The event will take place in the top floor meeting room of the Exeter Public Library.
