Maplewood will host a unique new art exhibition as local artists explore the creative possibilities of leather in “Bound Together,” an exhibition organized by artist Kay Rye of Sole Survivor Leather. The event will take place Friday, March 20 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at 7164 A Manchester Road, a new event space by Vintage Gold 88 in downtown Maplewood. “Bound Together” highlights the work of a group of St. Louis artists united by a shared medium—leather—while demonstrating the many ways it can be incorporated into contemporary art and design. The exhibition brings together artists who have crossed paths throughout the local art scene and are collaborating for the first time in a collective showcase. Visitors are invited to explore the gallery and engage directly with the artists to learn about their inspiration, techniques, and the tactile nature of working with leather.
