@ Held alongside the Antioch Homecoming at Antioch Church, this program centers on the enslaved quarters at Fairfield and the legacy of Piney Swamp, a freed Black community that formed after the Civil War and later became home to the Piney Swamp School. We welcome anyone with oral histories, family stories, or genealogical questions, especially those navigating gaps created by enslavement and Jim Crow-era erasure.
