GALLERY OPENING: NATURAL STRUCTURES | A Solo Exhibition by Steve Belz

GALLERY OPENING: NATURAL STRUCTURES | A Solo Exhibition by Steve Belz Friday, November 6 | 5PM – 8PM in The Laura Cooksey Gallery at Field Hall FREE ADMISSION Join Steve Belz for a free opening reception of his solo exhibition, NATURAL STRUCTURES, at the Laura Cooksey Gallery at Field Hall. No RSVP is required. NATURAL STRUCTURES will be on display November 6th – January 16th. Field Hall presents NATURAL STRUCTURES, a solo-exhibit featuring Port Angeles artist Steve Belz. Steve Belz is a ceramic artist, educator, and sculptor whose work explores our relationship with the natural world and the ways in which we perceive, interpret, and transform our environment. Belz’s work is informed by his experiences exploring the Olympic Peninsula. An avid observer of the landscape, he draws inspiration from the forms, textures, patterns, and colors he encounters in his daily life. These observations become the starting point for abstract organic sculptures that move between recognizable natural references and imagined forms. Belz combines and transforms these observations through his process, sometimes interpreting and modifying forms and at other times incorporating them directly as tools for creating texture and surface. Gallery hours are 10AM – 2PM Monday through Saturday. Free admission, donations are appreciated and support future exhibits. Learn more at www.fieldhallevents.org/gallery
