Saturday, November 7th @ 10:30AM – 1:30PM Tickets $30 for this segment | $70 for full festival pass Click here to see full festival schedule and featured storyteller bios 10:30 – 11:30a: Concurrent Workshops, Sunset Lounge • “Storytellers Talk Too Much” with Colin Irwin A workshop designed to enhance your storytelling performance skills with alternative use of language, voice, music and other simple techniques intended to bring a new level of interest and intensity to your practice. Irish storyteller, singer-songwriter, author Colin Urwin who will guide participants through some fun exercises and discussions and share a few tried and tested methods that he regularly incorporates into his dynamic and engaging performances. • “Vividness, Verve and Vigor: Playing with Words” with Ingrid Nixon Vivid language, plus verve and vigor in delivery makes for engaging, memorable stories. In this active workshop we’ll explore creative, compelling ways to use language to enliven the tales you tell. Everyone — from preteens, grandparents and everybody in between — will find stories of love, comedy and inspiration. Our storytellers will invite you into the lives of people, fictional and real. These are characters who are, on the inside, just like you. They’re also people from many cultures, coming alive in the voices of tellers from all over the globe. Enjoy inspiring workshops, entertaining live performances with expert storytellers, networking opportunities, and open “story slam” opportunities for you to share your tales. A full weekend of stories inside the beautiful Field Arts & Events Hall in Port Angeles, Washington. The Story People of Clallam County is a guild that promotes the art of storytelling.
