Each weekend in September from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can learn what it means to be a wildlife expert during our Wild Weekends! Meet conservation heroes, animal care specialists, educators and more, and learn how you can support local conservation efforts happening in your own backyard. PriceWild Weekends is included with a Fort Wayne Zoo membershipAdult: $24 Child: $22 Ages 1 and under are always free What’s Happening Each Wild Weekend Conservation in Action! Meet our Conservation Education team! Learn about our classroom opportunities, volunteer programs, and how you can make a difference for local conservation efforts through tabletop activities around Central Zoo. Caring for Wildlife! Caring for 1,500 animals is a team effort! Composed of dedicated individuals, our Animal Health Team is excited to share our own conservation stories, x-rays from animals at the Zoo, water sampling techniques, and more through interactive table displays throughout Central Zoo. You can be a Zoo Keeper! Do you have what it takes to be a Zoo Keeper? You can help build animal enrichment, ask Zoo Keepers your questions, and learn what it means to provide daily care for 1,500 animals. Wild Indiana and Beyond! Everyone can use their own superpowers to be a conservation hero! Through art projects and science projects, learn how to use your skills to support wildlife in Indiana and beyond. Fort Wayne Zoo Members can sign up for a behind-the-scenes tour in our Animal Nutrition Center! Available each day, members can step behind-the-scenes for a look at how we prepare diets for lions, fish, otters, and more! Learn about specialized diets, meet the team that keepers the animals in our care fed, and get an exclusive look at an area rarely open to guests. Spots are limited, please reserve your spot in advance.
