We’re having a party to celebrate the release of Stoned Gnome, our very first hopped “metheglin” mead. Originating in Wales, Metheglin (meh·thuh·gluhn) is a catchall term for mead made with spices and herbs. We hopped and dry-hopped Stoned Gnome with the special Ales for ALS blend of hops, and $1 per pint will support research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute. We’ll have live music with Stillwater Band and smashburgers by Patch Burger! The Smith Family (owners of Loftus Ranches and an owner of Yakima Chief Hops) launched the Ales for ALS program, driven by their personal experiences with ALS. Each year participating brewers receive a unique hop blend, craft a beer (or in our case, a mead), and donate a % of sales to the ALS Therapy Development Institute.
