Students will see inside hidden worlds that exist just outside of our perception, from the mesmerizing life cycle of a honeybee to the lightning-fast wings of a hummingbird, and come away with a deeper understanding of the world we all share. AA 4: CONNECT: Students will relate their artistic work with prior experience and external context. ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS Anchor Standard SL2: Integrate and evaluate information presented in diverse media and formats, including visually, quantitatively and orally. Anchor Standard SL3: Evaluate a speaker’s point of view, reasoning and use of evidence and rhetoric. ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY AND SUSTAINABILITY EX2: Students evaluate relationships and structures of natural and cultural systems and analyze their interdependence. SCIENCE SCI.LS1.B.m: An organism’s growth is affected by both genetic and environmental factors. SCI.LS2.A.m: Organisms and populations are dependent on their environmental interactions both with other living things and with nonliving factors, any of which can limit their growth.
