Flamenco Dance Workshop

Step into the passionate world of Flamenco! Before seeing Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana at your Fox Cities P.A.C., join us for an immersive, high-energy workshop led by a professional dancer from the world-renowned company behind the performance. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned mover, this session offers a vibrant look at the history, culture and technique of Spain’s most iconic art form. You’ll go beyond the steps to understand how various cultures shaped the music and soul of Flamenco, all while mastering the fundamentals of rhythm and posture. This is a hands-on workshop with instruction in rhythmic handclaps (palmas), arm movements (braceo), body posturing (marcaje) and footwork (taconeo), all tailored to the participants’ experience level. Arrive ready to move and dressed in clothes and footwear that are comfortable for learning a simple, choreographed dance!
