The Shades of Excellence Awards Ceremony is Muskegon Young Black Professionals’ signature annual event, celebrating exceptional Black professionals who are making a meaningful impact through leadership, entrepreneurship, service, and community involvement. The evening features dinner, entertainment, award presentations, and an afterglow reception while raising funds to support MYBP’s year-round professional development and community programming. Dress: Semi-Formal/Formal attire; Shades of Browns, Nudes, or All-Black Event Schedule: 6:00 PM – Enjoy the captivating live music of Avalon Cutts and indulge in a delectable strolling dinner experience catered by Kuntry Cookin’ and Soul Filled Catering 7:30 PM – The highly anticipated 2025 Shades of Excellence Awards begin, masterfully hosted by Jon Covington and Tamica Savage. 10:00 PM – The Celebration: As the night progresses, we’ll come together to honor our award recipients and dance the night away to the beats of DJ Yung on the turntables.
