Learn how to cultivate gourmet and medicinal fungi while discovering the incredible world of mycelial networks that sustain all life. In this outdoor workshop, you’ll discover: -How mycelium forms vast underground networks, connecting and communicating beneath the soil -The crucial role fungi play as nature’s recyclers and ecosystem builders -Simple techniques for growing mushrooms in your own home or garden -The difference between saprotrophic, mycorrhizal, and endophytic fungi -How to care for and maintain your mushroom cultivation You’ll take home: A mycelium grow bag, plus the knowledge to continue cultivating your own mushrooms! No prior experience necessary. All materials provided—just bring a notebook for notes and questions. What to expect: This is an outdoor demonstration-style workshop. We’ll explore the fundamentals of mushroom cultivation through hands-on learning and give you a mushroom bag to take home.
