McManus Trail Hike

Description: A 3.0 mile out-and-back trail near Cathedral City. This is a popular hike to the Goat Trails area, but you can still enjoy some solitude during a quieter time of the day. Overview: This moderate hike (Rating 77) is generally suitable for novice hikers who want a bit of a challenge Time: 9:00AM – 12:00PM Difficulty: Moderate due to elevation gain. For more information about the Difficulty Rating: Shenandoah Hiking Difficulty Scale Distance: 3 miles Elevation Gain: 1,000 feet (equals 100 flights of stairs) Terrain/Obstacles: Rapid elevation gain, uneven desert terrain Requirements: Minimum 2 liters of water and a snack, Closed-toe shoes, No dogs allowed Recommended: Sunscreen and hat, Hiking poles, Long sleeve shirt Meeting Location: We will meet at the gate on The Ramp/Goat Trails, Palm Hills Drive, Palm Springs (adjacent to the Von’s Rimrock Shopping Center.
