Description: Join us on this family friendly hike of the Jackrabbit/Bighorn Overlook trail loop. You will experience the views of our desert mountains in the amazing wash of moonlight and shadows, as well as the urban night lights of the Coachella Valley. Overview: This easy hike (Rating below 50) is generally suitable for anyone who enjoys walking. Mostly level or with a slight incline. Time: 7:15PM – 8:15PM Difficulty: Easiest (Rating: 20); For more information about the Difficulty Rating: Shenandoah Hiking Difficulty Scale Distance: 1.5 miles Elevation Gain: 200 feet (equals 20 flights of stairs) Terrain & Obstacles: The trail is narrow, 2 feet wide and has 1-steep incline with cobbled desert terrain. Requirements: Bring 1-2 liter of water per person, headlamp or flashlight and wear close-toed shoes. Recommended: Hiking poles.
