The first of the two-classes workshop is a hands-on exploration into the art of making paper. Students will learn a brief history of paper and how to make paper at home. Students will have the opportunity to pull a sheet of paper. The artist will shw the student the many different techniques of applying materials to the wet paper or manipulating the paper to form organic forms. The artist will provide all the materials including pulp, handmade paper scraps from the artist. The second class will include a brief review of the first class then students will get to explore and build on the knowledge from the previous class by creating more advance sculptural paper.
