1860’s Base Ball comes to Geneseo! Did you know that in the 1860’s there were actually 3 baseball teams in Geneseo? We are going to bring this lost hometown tradition back to life! Geneseo Celebrities and Townspeople will be playing a double header against the Oregon Ganymedes on Sunday, July 12 beginning at 1:00 in Richmond Hill Park. (Soccer Field 6). The Geneseo Historical Museum is excited to sponsor, educate and bring history to life in a family-friendly event. Step back into the 19th century and experience America’s favorite game as it was first played: no gloves, underhand pitching, wooden bats and pure old-fashioned fun!
