In the Victorian era, grief had its own language. From elaborate mourning clothing and jewelry to funeral customs, memorial photographs and household traditions. Victorians developed a fascinating set of rituals for honoring those who had died. Alex Fox will help us step into the Victorian world of mourning and discover how families expressed grief, remembered loved ones, and observed the many customs surrounding death and remembrance. Doors open at 5:30pm.
