Instructor: Becca Shuler Where: Classroom at Gilmer Arts When: Fridays, 1-4pm, Sept. 18 & 25 2026 Studying Art Therapy: Right brain vs Left Brain Multimedia acrylic painting implores your imagination while using paper, paint, & pen. Art prompts encourage a therapeutic form for creating meaningful artwork; it’s very cathartic. Paint your story. Register in advance to save your seat. Seats limited. Two dates: 9/18 & 25, 1-4pm. Come to both or only one. Fee is for one date. Pay the class fee for instruction and bring your own supplies. Bring your typical painting setup: acrylic paints, brushes, water cup, paper towels, palette. If you require a starter’s kit, inform the instructor before the class date: 706-889-1857. —Kit: paint set for heavy body acrylics, brushes, & canvas or panel substrate. Pay for it when class begins: $25. Class fee: $ 98 one date; $188 two dates (discount when buying both dates) Each date explores the same topic, allowing the student to continue learning by offering more demonstration and opportunities to create. Inspiration images are provided to encourage your imagination. Bring your own or use one provided by Becca. Becca’s acrylics painting sessions are quite enjoyable for everyone, beginners to advanced. She has been leading art instruction locally since 2015. Many of her students return for each new monthly exploration for improvement. It’s all about having fun in the experience and relaxing to your own creative rhythm. At least twice a month, Becca plans for a topic to practice, giving students the opportunity to take both classes or whichever date suits their schedule. A 10% discount is offered to GAHA members.
