Learn about the ritual of mummification in ancient Egypt, travel to ancient Rome to meet gods and goddesses, uncover temple gifts in ancient Greece, and investigate the protective art of ancient Mesopotamian palaces! Explore each culture through a different hands-on project, including cuneiform clay tablets, protective amulets, and symbolic jewelry. This program is recommended for students ages 7–12 but is open to the whole family. This is not a drop-off event. One adult per group is required to attend. Adults, seniors, and students are $8 each; children 4 and under are free.
Glencairn, a castle-like home built in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania between 1928 and 1939, now serves as a museum of religious art and history.
