JOSHUA REDMAN QUARTET Takeda Theater at The Platform

Fluent in the language of jazz, but never bound by it, saxophonist and composer Joshua Redman channels the echo of the past into lush improvisations that are uniquely engaging and unmistakably his own. “One of the 21st century’s finest jazz improvisers” (The Guardian) Redman creates music that gives voice to the questions, sentiments, and ideas that resist simple definitions. Returning with his quartet, Redman performs works from his latest album Words Fall Short. Sponsored in part by the Ellis L. Phillips Foundation. MEMBERS MAKE IT HAPPEN.
