KURT ELLING WITH FRED HERSCH WILDFLOWERS Takeda Theater at The Platform

The one-of-a-kind contemporary beat lyricism and vocal ingenuity of two-time Grammy-winner Kurt Elling meets the melodies of "the most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade" (Vanity Fair), Fred Hersch, in Wildflowers. Elling, hailed by The New York Times as "the standout male jazz vocalist of our time," has spent twenty-five years extending the vocabulary of vocal jazz. Hersch, a member of jazz's piano pantheon and a seventeen-time GRAMMY nominee, has spent more than three decades as one of the genre's most influential improvisers, composers, and bandleaders.
