RED BARAAT FESTIVAL OF COLORS Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre

“The best party band in years” (NPR), Red Baraat is the pioneering Brooklyn-based ensemble led by dhol player Sunny Jain. Featured on Netflix's One Shot with Ed Sheeran and on “Ai Miei Amici” with Italian superstar Jovanotti, the band has earned worldwide acclaim for its singular sound—a thrilling fusion of driving Punjabi rhythms, hip-hop, jazz, and raw punk energy. Their celebrated 2017 NPR Tiny Desk Concert was ranked among the greatest Tiny Desk performances of all time by New York Magazine, affirming what audiences already know: Red Baraat's live shows are an unparalleled collision of virtuosity, joy, and communal celebration, reminding us that we are truly all in this together.
